My PBFC Rush Journey

Please join us in congratulating LG, Indie, and Emma on their invitation to the U.S. Soccer Talent ID Center 2025!
These players embody our club values, effort, growth, and teamwork, and we’re excited to see them compete and learn at the next level. Let’s go, PBFC Rush!
Coach Kenny Skinner, PBFC Rush Technical Director, about the girls:
"We are proud of Emma, Lily Grace, and Indie on all of their success and their opportunity to showcase their talent to US Soccer Youth National Team scouts. We have enjoyed watching them grow in PBFC Rush and Baldwin Rush programming. We thank Coastal Rush for the opportunities they are able to help provide players with their national recognition through their success. It’s great to be a part of the Coastal Rush family and looking forward to how they continue to push more players in the future. Good luck on Wednesday ladies!"
Meet Indie:

1. In order to receive these types of opportunities and invites we know the investment and sacrifices it takes. Can you share what are additional sessions or things you do to help increase your time on the ball?
I’m a goalkeeper, so I do a lot of outside training with Coach Archie. I met him at Rams camp when I was little and he has taught me a lot. I love to play futsal and 5v5. I also watch a lot of soccer with my Dad. That’s the best way to learn the game.
2. Parents, what made you look at our club as the right fit for soccer when you decided to start club soccer?
Indie was playing on an all-boys rec team when our neighbor, who had an older boy playing at PBFC Rush, asked if Indie would like to guest play with the U9 girls on Perdido. She said “Sure!” and the rest is history! She was instantly welcomed into the team and club, and so was our family. Everyone was friendly and the coaching was amazing — the perfect blend of fun and competitiveness. PBFC Rush helped Indie develop skill wise, for sure, but more importantly, the opportunities that Indie has had could not have been found anywhere else. Through PBFC Rush, Baldwin, and Coastal Rush, she has friends and knows coaches all over the country that she looks forward to seeing at these types of events.
3. What is your message to younger players wanting these opportunities in the future?
I would say to just play all of the soccer that you can. Saying yes to small opportunities, like extra training, futsal, 5v5, guest playing, etc. leads to bigger things! When you DO go, play your best, be friendly to new teammates, and talk to people that you don’t know - especially coaches! They’ll remember you and that means more opportunities in the future. Build that network!
Meet Lilly Grace:

1. In order to receive these types of opportunities and invites we know the investment and sacrifices it takes. Can you share what are additional sessions or things you do to help increase your time on the ball?
When I first started at PBFC Rush I also started Futsal with Coach Kenny. I love Futsal I feel like it has helped in my technical ability being in a smaller space. I contribute a lot of my skill to that, I even went to a National camp for Futsal in Kansas City and was invited to be on the USYF National Team to go to Brazil. I also did/do private "Mikey training" a lot with Mikey Munoz, also Coach Kenny, and Coach Jack outside of practices. My friends and play in 5v5 and in 3v3 tournaments. I do a lot of working out outside of training also. I finally got to 1119 juggles last year and counting! I train a lot in my garage with cones, soccer rebounders, and hype music! I also made sure to go to all of the finishing camps and inter club events that PBFC Rush provides. Inter-club was such a phone thing I enjoyed to do playing and learning from the older age groups! All glory to God!
2. Parents, what made you look at our club as the right fit for soccer when you decided to start club soccer?
I was at one of LGs rec games in Gulf Shores and we played against an outstanding player, Daniel. I found his mom after and asked where he trained! She said PBFC Rush and we signed up for the first camp PBFC Rush offered and the rest is history.
3. What is your message to younger players wanting these opportunities in the future?
My message to younger kids wanting these amazing opportunities is not to waste any second. Whenever you have the opportunity to juggle, train, or even get a little touches on the ball take advantage of it. Many kids don't get the opportunities unless you work hard outside of practice. It might feel like a huge mountain to climb when having to get up and go be productive but trust me once you start doing it you will enjoy it. The next thing is your mindset. Have a positive mindset. I've gone through so much in the past year but one thing I held myself to a high standard is keeping a positive mindset because that is a huge factor. Applying these things to your daily routine is so much the worth. Whatever you dream of can happen only if you work hard for it.
Meet Emma:

1. In order to receive these types of opportunities and invites we know the investment and sacrifices it takes. Can you share what are additional sessions or things you do to help increase your time on the ball?
I have worked with a personal coach for a couple years now. We do individual sessions a few times a month. Futsal has been great and I do that with West Florida Futsal Academy. Almost 2 years ago I started juggling for 20 minutes every day. I would write my score on a sheet of paper on the fridge. This helped me alot with ball control and confidence. On days with no training my family and I go to the local fields and work on specific things I need to improve on. I also use the Rush Train at home or Youtube videos in my garage on rain out days.
2. Parents, what made you look at our club as the right fit for soccer when you decided to start club soccer?
We started originally at a club very close to our home. As Emma and her brother Evan progressed, we felt they needed to be in an environment that would be more challenging and competitive. We had heard great things about PBFC Rush. I met with Kenny and after the first practice we knew it was a great fit for both. It required a commitment of about an hour drive each way to practice, but that has been well worth it.
3. What is your message to younger players wanting these opportunities in the future?
You have to work hard and push yourself in training. You have to work on your own to get better, you can't just rely on team practice. There will be bad days, games, and practices, just don't give up. HAVE FUN! Your teammates should be your friends, getting to train and take trips with them should be fun! Make sure you aren't stressing too much, if you are having fun you will play better.
